Helping Those Who Help Us

Our community of First Responders witness, hear, and deal with experiences most of us will never encounter in our lifetimes. Yet despite their courage, resilience, and outward demeanor, their uniforms do not protect them against the psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual impact of the responsibilities they carry as a First Responder.

We understand the importance of making it easy to seek professional guidance with a culturally competent and compassionate team to help them process their experiences. At Crisis Preparation + Recovery, we have a dedicated Public Safety team to provide coordination of care, case management, peer support and CISM, on-scene response, and counseling with various treatment modalities.

Caring for First Responders with an Employee Assistance Program An Employee Assistance Program is an additional benefit that agencies provide to their employees and family members to provide short-term counseling to assist with various areas of need, such as alcohol or substance misuse, parenting, relationship challenges, financial or legal problems, wellness matters, traumatic events, workplace stress due to management, being under investigation, and many others.

At Crisis Preparation + Recovery, we specialize in working alongside many Employee Assistance Programs. We are always there for First Responders and their family members, who may need a little extra support when struggling with such difficulties.

Extended Care with HB 2502 and HB2717

At CPR, we’re committed to helping all our First Responders deal with the complexities of their occupation and the emotional toll that can come from certain experiences. If your treatment team feels you could benefit from additional care, House Bill 2502 and 2717 effectively increased covered care from12 counseling sessions to an additional 24 sessions. HB2502 applies to certain first responders, such as sworn police officers and fire fighters. The recent enactment of HB2717 supports 911 Dispatchers to receive the same benefit.

If you are wondering if you are covered under the laws that resulted from HB2502 (A.R.S. 38–672 or 38–673) and HB2717 ( https://legiscan.com/AZ/text/HB2717/id/2801527 ), we can help. Our Public Safety Team will always be here for you to navigate this process.
